In 1951,the construction of “Jingwei Textile Machinery Plant” started in Yuci, Shanxi Province.
On May 31, 1959, Marshal Chen Yi, Vice Premier and Foreign Minister of the State Council, inscribed the name of “Jingwei” for the plant.
In 1995, Jingwei Textile Machinery Company Limited was officially established.
In 1996, the company’s stocks were respectively listed in Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
In 1999, with the implementation of large-scale asset restructuring, JINGWEI absorbed fourspinning machinery manufacturing companies, (Zhengzhou Hongda, Qingdao Hongda, Shenyang Hongda and Tianjin Hongda), and became the first manufacturer of complete sets of spinning equipment in China.
In 2000, the headquarter was set up in Beijing, and the technology research and development center was established.
In 2002, Changde Textile Machinery, Yichang Textile Twist Machinery and Wuxi Textile Technology Test Center joined JINGWEI.
In 2003, the registered place moved from Taiyuan to Beijing.
In 2005, acquihired Wuxi Hongda Textile Machinery Components Co., Ltd.
In 2008, launch of the Roving-Ring Link Machine and JINGWEI e-System ushered the era of automation and intelligence of Chinese textile machines.
In 2010, with acquisition of Zhongrong International Trust Co., Ltd., JINGWEI expanded into the financial business field.
In 2015, the company's H-share was strategically delisted. The "digital spinning workshop" project cooperated with Jiangsu Dasheng Group passed the national acceptance.
In 2016, the online Spare Parts Mall and the online Textile Machinery Exhibition were officially put into operation.The company began to enter the era of "Internet + Textile Machinery".
In 2018, Cotton Spinning Sub-Group (Jingwei Intelligent Textile Machinery Co., Ltd.) was established to promote the intensive operation of spinning machinery business.
In 2019, the "Intelligent Spinning Factory" project implemented through the cooperation with Wuhan Yudahua Group has become the industry benchmark.
In 2020, in order to help the global fight against COVID-19, it rapidly developed N95 mask machine series.
Jingwei software and hardware integrated intelligent spinning solution has been successfully applied and implemented in Shengshan Project.
