To further promote economic and trade exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between China and Pakistan, effectively build a China-Pakistan platform for direct economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, promote bilateral development in depth on economic and trade cooperation, the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CATA) and The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) held together the Pakistan-China Textile Trade and Investment Webinar. Mr. Mao Faqing, General Manager of JINGWEI Textile Machinery Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and made a keynote speech.

During the meeting, the Consul General of Pakistan in Shanghai, Mr. Hussain Haider introduced an overview of the China-Pakistan textile trade. He pointed out that China is the largest trading partner of Pakistan, and Pakistan has become a pivot, a model country to demonstrate The Belt and Road. According to Xu Yingxin, the vice president of the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CATA), China and Pakistan are highly complementary to each other in the textile industry. Pakistan's advantages in labor cost and production, the preferential tariff policies, and the pulling-effect of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) provide more opportunities for cooperation in the textile and garment industry chains between Pakistan and China. Representatives of five key enterprises from Pakistan engaged in clothing, jeans, home textile, fabric production and fabric export respectively introduced the situation of their respective companies and the current situation of the industry and expressed their willingness to cooperate with Chinese textile enterprises in-depth.

At the meeting, Mr. Mao Faqing made a speech about joining hands with JINGWEI to create the future of digital spinning. He said that JINGWEI Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. has developed into the world's leading cotton-spinning complete process equipment supplier with about 70 years of professional experience. Since 2015, JINGWEI has successively established "Digital Spinning Workshop" with Jiangsu Dasheng Group Co., Ltd. and "Smart Spinning Workshop" Wuhan Yudahua Textile and Garment Group Co., Ltd., the scale of 10,000 spindles employs only 15 people, which became an industry benchmark. In China, our overall market share is over 50%, thereinto, leading products such as blowing-carding-link and spinning frame have more than 70% market share. Pakistan used to be the largest overseas market of JINGWEI, the cumulative purchasing volume is more than 4,000,000 spindles. JINGWEI has held many intelligent spinning equipment promotion activities in Lahore, Karachi, and other places. This year, during the epidemic period, our technicians were still traveling in Pakistan to serve clients, and we also held an online meeting for technical exchanges. JINGWEI hopes to further enhance cooperation with Pakistan and accelerates the construction of intelligent pilot plant and service center.
